In April, a MEA team of Escort participated in the international exhibition GITEX Africa, which was held from April 14 to 16, 2025 in Marrakech, Morocco.
On April 16, international companies Escort Monitoring Systems, Gurtam, and Howen Technologies organised a joint practical workshop on “End-to-end fleet monitoring: practical approach”.
- Escort Monitoring Systems – an international developer and manufacturer of high–precision equipment for fuel monitoring and accounting of drivers’ working hours.
- Gurtam – a leading developer of Wialon software for transport monitoring systems.
- Howen Technologies – an international manufacturer of professional dash cameras.
During the event, integrators and telematics professionals were able to see the full integration process in action: from installing fuel level sensors and connecting dash cams to trackers, to integrating the devices with the Wialon platform and analysing the resulting data. It is worth noting that the Escort fuel sensors and Howen dash cameras are already fully integrated and use the Escort BLE protocol to communicate with each other.
The presence of representatives from three companies at once allowed to demonstrate how the integration between different devices can not only optimise costs and reduce fuel losses caused by driver misconduct but also be seamless and easy.
The Escort team hopes everyone walked away from the workshop with practical knowledge they can use. The hands-on format brought the technology to life, and seeing partners explore the solutions was the highlight. Looking ahead, the team can’t wait to build on these connections and showcase what’s next in fleet management innovation.
