eCargosens Wireless Axle Load Monitoring System for Real‑Time Fleet Load Control and Safety

eCargosens is a wireless axle-load monitoring system from Escort that uses pressure sensors on each axle and a cab-mounted unit to measure axle load based on pneumatic suspension pressure, helping prevent overloads and fines while protecting the vehicle and cargo.

The system transmits data from each sensor to the in-cab unit via Bluetooth 5.0 and then to the telematics or GPS terminal over a wired interface, so dispatchers and drivers can track axle loads in real time and store this information in the monitoring platform.

eCargosens consists of compact wireless pressure-sensor modules installed on each axle and a central control unit mounted in the truck cabin or on the frame. Once calibrated, it provides accurate axle-load readings, supports several sensors per vehicle, and operates over a long Bluetooth range so it can cover both truck and semitrailer, making it suitable for fleets that work with different trailers and routes.

Escort eCargosens Main Advantages

Helps prevent fines, supports safety monitoring, and enables maintenance planning

Uses innovative Bluetooth 5.0 Long Range for robust, reliable wireless data transmission

Quick, cable-free installation for minimum downtime

View load data directly on your phone or display it in the driver’s cabin

Easy control and configuration through a dedicated mobile app

Fully compatible with leading telematics platforms and trackers

The eCargosens system delivers highly accurate load data for preventing overload violations and ensuring safety – accessible on your smartphone, in your monitoring platform, or right in the driver’s cab.

01

Install the sensors

Mount one wireless pressure sensor per pneumatic circuit.

Watch the Instruction
02

Install the cabin unit

Place the cabin unit either inside the driver’s cabin or, if needed, directly on the truck frame. This unit receives data from the pressure sensors and forwards it to both the driver’s app and your monitoring system via the navigation terminal.

03

Transfer data to the monitoring system

The pressure sensors communicate with the cabin unit using Bluetooth 5.0, while the cabin unit connects to the navigation terminal via an RS-485 interface for robust, long-distance data transmission.

04

Optional: add a digital display

You can optionally mount a digital indicator in the cabin for real-time load readings. This gives the driver instant visibility of the axle load, no need to check a separate device.

05

Utilize Data in Your Software

Once connected and calibrated, the cab unit sends axle load data to the monitoring platform through the tracker. You and the driver can view loads via the app or backend system.
