Escort TD-150 Fuel Level Sensor for Accurate Fleet Fuel Monitoring
Escort TD-150 measures the level of light petroleum products (diesel, gasoline and other light oils) in vehicle tanks, reservoirs and stationary storage, providing precise data for monitoring consumption, refueling and fuel drains. The capacitive measurement principle ensures high accuracy (up to about 1% in the working range) and stability over time, which is critical for fleet fuel control and cost optimization. The measuring tube can be cut and adapted to the depth of a specific tank, so the same sensor model is suitable for trucks, special machinery, generators and fixed tanks.
A key feature of Escort TD-150 compared to earlier models is the presence of an extended analog output (approximately 0.2–0.5 to 9–9.5 V), in addition to digital and frequency interfaces, which simplifies connection to a wide range of on-board terminals and monitoring systems. The sensor supports RS-485 (digital), frequency and analog modes, converts the measured level into a digital code and can be easily calibrated for a specific tank using specialized software. Advanced temperature compensation algorithms, galvanic isolation and protection against connector opening or cable damage help maintain reliable readings in harsh operating conditions.
Escort TD-150 is designed for operation in a wide temperature range (approximately from about -60 to +80…+85 °C), has a high ingress protection rating (around IP67) and a robust polyamide body resistant to mechanical impacts. Certain modifications of the sensor are certified for use in hazardous areas (zones 0, 1, 2) when installed with appropriate intrinsic safety components, making it suitable for fuel depots and industrial facilities as well as road transport. As a result, Escort TD-150 is a ready-made solution that integrates seamlessly with popular GPS/telematics platforms and helps businesses reduce fuel losses and improve fleet efficiency.
